Quirke Lake Overview

One of the largest lakes in the region, Quirke Lake provides the outdoor enthusiast with an abundance of fishing opportunities on a tranquil lake with little development. It’s convenient location of just 15 Kilometers north of Elliot Lake combined with the fact that the lots are accessible by road all year, make Quirke Lake an attractive option for year round recreational living.

All of the lots have been pre-qualified to meet Algoma Health Unit requirements for septic systems. A by-law has been enacted that will prohibit clear cutting or stripping the natural shoreline vegetation, to maintain sensitivity to the environment.

In addition, all of the lots will also have a minimum 150 foot shoreline and a minimum size of one acre surrounded by Crown Land.

The close proximity to the downtown core of the City of Elliot Lake makes this lake especially attractive to cottagers. Within a 10 to 20 minute drive, they can have access to over 350 businesses and services in Elliot Lake, with first class health care and countless year round recreational opportunities.

For the Canoe and ATV enthusiasts, the Quirke Lake/Whiskey Lake canoe route can be accessed via the Serpent River outlet from the northeast bay of the lake. Quirke is easily accessible year-round by snowmobile and ATV, on trails that have recently been built running parallel to Stanrock Rd.

Fishing on Quirke Lake is an exciting adventure, with Lake Trout, Brook Trout, Small Mouth Bass, Walleye, Yellow Perch and Whitefish abounding. The Elliot Lake Area boasts the highest concentration of Lake Trout lakes in the world.
